hmm.. i heard something like it was because you are dressing like the unbelievers and not like a muslim..

I heard that in Iran it was considered being with the evil West, thats why you rarely see Iranian men with ties, just shirt and jacket. But I personally dont see the connection with the unbelievers, just culturaly dress.

If it was something that was exposing the awrah or a type of fashion like tattoos that defiled or altered the natural form, I might question it.
